Homework 20%, exams 50%, final 30%
Category weights should add to 100. Average each category first. Leave the final blank until you have a score — a blank is not a zero.
| Category | Weight | Average |
|---|---|---|
| Homework | 20 | 95% |
| Exams | 50 | 81.5% |
| Final | 30 | not taken |
Current grade uses only the finished weight:
(95 × 20 + 81.5 × 50) / 70 = 85.36%
To finish at 90, the final needs (90 × 100 − 5975) / 30 = 100.83%. To finish at 80, it needs 67.5%. Open this syllabus. The “What you still need” card names the blank Final.
If the final is one exam with a known weight of the whole course, the shorter page is the final calculator.
