Cumulative GPA after this semester

The course list on the GPA page is one set of classes. The cumulative card is separate, so sample courses are not double-counted.

GPA so far, and credits still ahead

A 3.2 after 60 credits is 192 quality points. You want a 3.3 cumulative, and 15 credits are not on the transcript yet:

(3.3 × (60 + 15) − 3.2 × 60) / 15 = 3.7

Those 15 credits need a 3.7 GPA. Open this cumulative example. The big number stays the GPA of the courses listed (3.63 for the sample A, B+, A−). The cumulative sentence is under that list.

After the semester is over, add its quality points into “GPA so far” yourself. The card does not add the list and the prior record together.

Steps in the calculator

  1. Open the GPA calculator.
  2. Add one row per course with its letter and credits: A (3 credits), B+ (4 credits), A- (3 credits).
  3. Under cumulative GPA, enter your GPA so far (3.2) and the credits behind it (60), then the target (3.3) and the credits still ahead (15).
  4. Read the GPA at the top and the line that says what you need on the credits ahead.
