How many points do I need for an A?
You have 320/400 (80%). A final is 100 points. “A” here means the percent you type, not a hidden curve.
- Goal 90% (A− on GradeKite’s display scale):
0.90 × 500 − 320 = 130of 100 points. Out of reach. - Goal 93% (A on that scale):
0.93 × 500 − 320 = 145of 100. Also out of reach. - Goal 80%:
0.80 × 500 − 320 = 80of the next 100. You need 80.
Open the 80-point example. Change the goal on the page to see the “out of reach” line for 90. If the remaining work is a percent of the course instead of raw points, use what you need for an A on the final.
