Convert points to a percentage
When the syllabus is not split into categories, the grade is earned points divided by possible points.
| Earned | Possible | Percent |
|---|---|---|
| 45 | 50 | 90% |
| 88 | 100 | 88% |
| 17 | 20 | 85% |
| 150 | 170 | 88.24% |
Do not average 90, 88, and 85. The 100-point row counts more than the 20-point row. Open these three rows.
A row with possible 0 is extra credit, not a skipped row: the earned points still add. See extra credit. Category weights: weighted calculator.

- Read your percentage at the top and the points you still need below it.
