International grades to US GPA
Converters for twelve national grading systems, each with its official scale, the equivalence tables that universities actually publish, and an estimate on the US 4.0 scale.
Standards vary by school; follow your target school’s rules.
How these pages work
Every country page starts from the official grading rules (a ministry decree, a national commission or a university regulation) and then shows what admissions offices publish: the University of Toronto’s graduate equivalencies, Oregon State University’s B-average minimums and Loughborough University’s UK degree-class tables. Where those tables give enough points, the converter draws straight lines between them; where they do not, it shows only the band.
No single conversion is official. The same transcript can be a B at one university and a B+ at another, and many schools re-evaluate foreign records themselves or through a credential service.
Once you have course grades on a 4.0 scale, the GPA calculator turns them into a credit-weighted GPA.
